Garter Stitch Bootees Pattern PLEASE HELP

Hi I’m having major difficulty joining the back seam of my pattern. If anyone can help me that would be great. I don’t know if I did something right which is highly likely since I am a beginner or the pattern has something wrong with it.

THe directions were….

With 3mm needles cast on 36 sts. K 21 rows
SHAPE INSTEP
Next row K24, turn.
Next row K12, turn.
K24 rows on this set of sts only.
Break off yarn.
With right side facing, rejoin yarn at base of instep and K up 12 sts along side edge of instep, K across 12 sts of instep. K up 12 sts along other side of instep, K rem 12 sts. 60 sts. K 13 rows. Break off yarn.
SHAPE SOLE
Next row With right side facing sl first 24 sts onto right-hand needle, rejoin yarn and k12 turn.
Next row K11, K2tog, turn.
Rep last row 47 times more. 12 sts.
Next row (K2tog) to end. 6 sts.
Cast off
Join back seam.
Make one more.

I took a picture with my phone it won’t allow me to post the picture right now… but I will figure out how to post it. The sole doesn’t allow me to sew the back together.

Welcome to Knitting Help!
You should end with a shaped toe and a join of the right and left sides of the instep and ankle (6sts). You should only have to join 3sts to 3sts.
Can you give us the name of the pattern or a pattern link? A photo of your bootee would be great too.

I have attached 4 photos two unsown and two sown. I made two booties I don’t know if I am doing something wrong as you can see it looks extremely weird. lol
It’s a Debbie Bliss pattern Garter stitch Jacket and Bootees, I started with the bootees thinking it will be fairly easy. Guess I’m not at that skill level yet.

As best as I can tell that looks correct. There should only be a small seam at the back to close up. It is a somewhat unusual design of the sole but I think you’ve done it.

The sole looks weird and it doesn’t line up with the back, that’s why theres that little bump in the back when I sowed it together. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem.

I tried a small one of these just to make sure of the knitting. The sole looks ok but there was the same bump at the back. I’m aftraid that’s a feature of this pattern. No matter how you seam, it’s still there.
