Has anyone made the fun stitch baby blanket from the “free patterns” page? I was thinking about trying it, but I’m confused about what type of yarn to buy. It says worsted weight, but with size 10 1/2 needles - can that be right? I have some cute Plymouth Encore worsted weight, but on the label it says to use size 8 needles, I think. Should I double it? Am I missing something?

The needle size on the label is just a general guideline–it will give you the approximate gauge listed on the label. A larger needle will just give you larger, looser stitches, so you can use a different size than is on the needle. Encore is a great worsted–good for a baby blanket.
