From short sleeves to long sleeves?

I am wondering if the Bob sweater http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring03/PATTbob.html on Knitty could be knit with long sleeves. I would think I just knit the sleeve to the length I want and proceed with the rest of the pattern as written.

Seems easy enough to me. Or is there something I’m not considering?

From someone who has done that sweater, I think it would work fine. Depending on how long you want the sleeves you may need to decrease the number of stitches on the lower arm section so it isn’t super baggy, but that isn’t hard to do.
