French bathing suit for granddaughter

Before I retired one of my co workers handed me a sack of yarn that she said she had bought it to make a bathing suit. She decided and she would never use the yarn, so she gave it to me. As I am in the process of reorganizing my yarns I came across that bag. I knew I didn’t want to make a suit for myself, and found this adorable pattern on ravelry. I have two of the bottom cuffs finished. I figure I have two good months to finish it, although it is already a…"I don’t want to put this down project!"

I am not sure what my color combo’s will be yet. I know the boy shorts section will be a solid blue all the way. I have pink, orchid, white, yellow and a blue. The yarn is called Gedifra top soft made in Italy.
Since my granddaughter lives in Florida on an air force base with its own beach, I am sure she will get a lot of use from this…or even as a sunsuit!

I’d call it a romper! It’s so cute and could easily be worn for either swimming or play.

It really is cute, just right for a little princess playing outside. What yarn are you using?

That’s going to be adorable. The colors sound perfect for summer near the water, too.

Very cute pattern and I have bought and used the Gedifra yarn before. Can’t wait to see it finished.
