This is row 3
WS moss stitch to 5 stitches before previous wrap stitch, wrap next stitch turn.
So my question is this do I count back 5 from wrap stitch and wrap that one or do I count 6 back from previous wrap stitch which would leave 5 stitches clear in between wraps.
Please help I’m going mad 
You have stitches: 5,4,3,2,1, wrapped stitch. Work up to stitch 5 then wrap stitch 5 and turn.
Thank you so actually there will be 5 stitches then a wrap stitch, so sorry this has driven me crazy.
You’ll knit up to stitch 5 them wrap stitch 5 so there will be 4sts between wrapped sts (4,3,2, and 1). Just be consisten in how you work this on any following short rows.

Hi when I spoke to the pattern maker she said
As long as you have 5 stitches between wraps it will work OK.
That’s what’s confusing me??
Is it five including the wrap or four including the wrap eeeek

OK, then work up to stitch 6, wrap stitch 6 and turn. That way there will be 5sts between the wrapped sts.
Say the sts are: 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, then the last wrapped stitch. So work sts 10,9,8,7, wrap stitch 6 and turn.
Thank you still struggling the pattern maker got it wrong it is 4 stitches in between eek start again nearly giving up.
The fact that the wrap is done on ws and when working moss stitch confuses me.
Yes, either the pattern directions were wrong or the designer was wrong. I don’t think this needs to be perfect. Four or 5 sts between wraps aren’t going to make a big difference depending how this collar is constructed.
It easier to look at the stitch after the turn and work the moss stitch whether you have to work the stitch as a knit or purl. You want to make sure that the rest of the row stays in pattern so that may help you when you turn.

When I’m trying to do this I’m coming across a wrapped stitch from previous part of pattern, how does the counting work please is it 54321 wrap or 5432 wrap

When you come to the previously wrapped stitch do whatever the pattern suggests for wrapped sts (pick up the wrap or ignore it). Then count 5sts (1,2,3,4,5) and wrap stitch 6 and turn.

Don’t include the wrap stitch in the counts. Work 5sts past the wrap stitch means to work the wrap stitch then count 5sts. Wrap the next stitch (stitch 6).
You’ll have: wrap stitch-1,2,3,4,5-wrap stitch.
Thank you have done that but the amount of wraps ie 14 times more goes into the stoking stitch is that correct plz
I don’t have the pattern but usually with these shawl collars, there are several rows of the collar stitch such as moss stitch as a foundation. Then the short rows are worked between markers at the top of the front bands. So you wouldn’t be working into an area of stockinette stitch.
Possibly like this depending on whether you’re working 5sts before or 5sts past the wrap. But always in the moss stitch.
Where are you getting into the stockinette? Can you upload a photo of your knitting?

This pattern is tricky I have knitted for 40 years but this is stumping me.
Have you picked up sts for the front bands, the sections between hem and the beginning of the collar?
You can give us a few rows at the very beginning of the collar/front bands if you’d like. Don’t post a large portion of the pattern please due to designer copyright.
Thank you. So starting at the hem on the back, how far along the back does 100sts take you up to the shoulder or to the armhole? This is knit sideways, so it seems like this is a long border of moss at the side in the back rather than the collar. In that case yes, you will be working into the stockinette sts as you extend the moss sts.
On the repeat 33 and 34 14 times more I am only able to work 9 mods stitch to 5 stitches past prev wrap stitch, wrap nxt stitch turn if I do any more than 9 I will be wrapping stocking stitch. Does that make sense 🫤
