The blue sweater is Vaila by Gudrun Johnson (from Twist Collective), and the green one is Forestry by Veronik Avery (from Vogue Knitting Fall 08 I think).
Forestry is knit with Cascade 220. I finished about 6 months ago but hadn’t sewn on the buttons! I really like it. The pattern was difficult to follow and had a few errors. In fact, I think the way my collar came out may be an error in the placement of the short rows (it’s quite pointed in the very back), but I decided to leave it as is. The button band/ collar took nearly as long to knit as the rest of the sweater combined. My only real mod was to add cables up the sleeves.
Vaila is knit with Malabrigo. It has a tendency to pick up dog hair and I’m worried about pilling. I haven’t blocked it yet, but when I do, I’m going to try to add a bit of length to it. It’s just a teeny bit too short. I didn’t make any mods. I knit the 32" size even though I have a 35" bust to try and get it more fitted than the model’s. Overall I’m happy with it but if it were top down I’d add a few rows of ribbing.
