I was envious of Arielluria’s beautiful Spring Beret and had to have my own. I had already started Meret – Mystery Beret, so now I have two new hats. Both patterns are free Ravelry downloads. The Spring Beret (white) is Mission Falls 1824 cotton and Meret is Classic Elite Waterlily – a really yummy yarn. Both were from my stash.

If you’ve done any knitting in the round, either on a circular needle or dpn’s, and you can do yarnover and knit-two-together, it’s a cinch. These really go very quickly, and are fun to make. I say, go for it!

Slim, those two berets are beautiful. The lace will make them a little more light weight for spring all right. Both have lovely lace, but my favorite is the off white one.
