I have completed one hat and one blanket for the Compassionate Knitting Project KAL. I just finished casting off the blanket now. I used Plymouth Dreambaby DK for both items, double-stranded for the blanket. The hat is a simple garter stitch thingy, and the blanket is an almost-as-simple feather and fan thingy. I’m really proud of it. Them. But mostly the blanket.
For size reference, the hat is sitting on the big end of a normal size (large at the grocery store) egg.
FOs - tiny blanket and hat
Beautiful things!! I know, they are sooo tiny. I made a blanket and hat as well, and I almost didn’t send in the hat, because I thought surely it could fit no one. Great job!!
The hat DOES make the egg look adorable! :roflhard:
You should have put a little face on the egg!
Beautiful blanket, whoever gets it will be thrilled.
Awwww that’s beautiful!
So pretty! :cheering:
How sweet!

Just beautiful! I love the pattern on the blanket.
What a beautiful gift set!! And so thoughtful of you, too! :cheering:
I’ve just gotta have a basket full of eggs with little hats now!
Perfect for a knitter’s Easter!
Adorable - those will be treasured for a long time!
:roflhard: The egg does look adorable in that hat! You said the blanket was kind of simple, a fan and feather pattern right? Where can I find that pattern?? I might want to make it for a baby shower gift
Both beautifully done.

Finally, a good use for an egg.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments, everyone!
KnitPixie, here’s the feather and fan pattern. I believe it needs to be done on a multiple of 12 sts - I used 60. Add stitches for a selvedge as you deem necessary.
Row 1 - Knit across.
Row 2 - Purl across.
Row 3 - (k2tog) twice, (yo, k1) four times, (k2tog) twice. Repeat across row.
Row 4 - Knit across.
That’s beautiful and generous work!
Cutest egg ever!
:roflhard:
