FOs: Chunky Beret & Rainbow Soap Sack

Here’s my first beret…I only had one skein of Queensland Big Wave yarn, so I improvised by using some organic cotton too…I think it turned out cute, although I don’t know that I’m the beret ‘type’:

I knit this Rainbow Soap Sack from the Knitting Pattern a Day Calendar 2009 (it’s the January 1 pattern)…and I LOVE how it turned out:
