Yarn Review
This yarn is super soft and absolutely perfect for next to skin. It contains, baby alpaca, cashmere, silk, and extra fine merino. It’s a smooth, non-textured yarn perfect for cables and stitch definition. Loose ply, but I only split the stitches once. One ball had one knot in it.
I have some left over and hope it is enough for a matching hat.
Wished KP had more color choices.
Pattern Review
A nice quick, manly scarf. I like the pattern because it is cables, but in a interesting design. DH likes the pattern as well, and gives it a non-girlie manly approval. He likes the one by one ribbing at the neck.
This actually makes for a great beginner cable project. Bulky yarn makes it a quick knit and you only do simple cables 3 out of 18 row repeats. If you start now, you can definitely have this project done by Christmas. I’m just a slow knitter these days.
Misc.
Loved the soft yarn and bulky weight. Enjoyed the quick pattern.
It’s blocking now. I can’t comment on the pill factor, but since this is a scarf, I doubt it will pill much.
Cost for yarn was about $25.00 and well worth it.
