FO Who knitted this bonnet?

I’ve search and can’t find the post. HELP

I just looked for this the other day, too. It’s not a free pattern, though. Julie’s the one who made it. I think it was from Knitting for Two.

Here it is.

Thanks Ingrid. I got the book from the library and I have been racking my brain :wall: trying to remember who posted it.

:waving:

One of my favorite baby patterns.

:waving: Hi Julie!
Even without having knit it yet, I can tell it will be a favorite of mine.

I’m going to do the other baby hat from that book first.
Just as soon as I finish what I’m workin’ on now. :x:

I’m tempted to get that book just for this pattern. Someone at work just became a daddy, and no other hat lived up to this one, so I just couldn’t bring myself to knit a different hat.

Edited to add that I just got this book from Amazon–used–for $2.99 plus shipping!!!

:inlove: That is one gorgeous hat! Julie, how hard would it be for someone who has never done cables? Would it be a good piece to learn on, or should I learn cables well before attempting it?

:happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

Stop with the enabling, will you?

Stacey, there are no cables…it’s a pretty simple lace pattern, meaning, you have to do it after the kids are in bed. At least that’s the way it goes around here! :roflhard:

Let’s see…you just need to know how to knit, prul, k2tog, Yfwd (YO), k2tog-tbl…and there are a few M1 increases near the end. A very friendly pattern if you haven’t done lace before, IMHO.

Cool! I can do all those things (though I’m not entirely sure what tbl stands for…). And it turns out my library has the book. Will definitely be putting this on my “to knit” list.

(and yes, I’m sure I will also have to wait till the kiddos are in bed! I’m not up to trying to learn lace knitting with two boys underfoot! )

Yup…as any knitter with small children knows…there are daytime projects, and there are nighttime projects.

I was wondering  what book is that cute hat in??

I just happen to have it on the table next to me.
