PATTERN: “Twist” by Bonne Marie Burns of Chic Knits
YARN: City Tweed HW by Knitpicks
This is an easy cable pattern! We knit this in a Ravelry Knitalong hosted by yours truly.Pattern includes a hooded version, as well as the collar version that I chose to knit!
The City Tweed yarn is WONDERFUL! It will be a staple that I will use again and again! Wonderful to knit, and it shapes up nicely! It also conforms to blocking with no fight!
I had originally posted a photo of my Twist, and the collar (on the left side facing you) had an extra cable column in it! Doh! I have since pulled out 15 the cast off stitches, ripped down into the ‘erroneous’ column, and pulled the Knits back up to the needle with a crochet hook, then binded off again, and then blocked it into shape!
Here she is, all fixed!
And while I’m at it, here she is with a QUINN cable bag, made with some of the leftover yarn!
Sweater and Bag used 10-165 yd skeins.
Sweater: 8
Bag: 2
Wow, it turned out beautifully! I love the look of that tweed, and it compliments the cables so nicely. I’ll have to try it. Lovely work, as always. Thanks for the links.
I think it looks great!!! Wonderful job as always:thumbsup: Are the three cables on the right side of the collar on purpose without ribbing between them? Or i can’t see properly. It looks nice asymmetrical
:passedout: I am fixing the MISTAKE right now! I can’t believe I didn’t “see” it!
I will pull out the bind off row, and tear down into that ‘extra cable’ and pull the stitches back up as st stitches! Half of that column IS plain st st, and then for some reason…I began to cable it! DOH! Thanks for mentioning it to me!
