I loved Slim’s new hat (Capucine) so much, I knit one for myself that very day. I showed the hat to Slim in a Rav message, and she said she thinks you would want to see how the hat looks in a Manos del Uruguay variegated colorway. So here it is. I used double strands to get the correct gauge, and used a US10.5 needle. Slim is right: you start early in the day and you’re done by dinner! It’s a very quick knit, and the pattern is very easy to follow. Get her links and details here.
I ran out of Manos, so the 3 tassels are mixed with 2 other yarns in addition to some Manos. It worked. Sigh of relief.
Used 251 yds of Manos, color#104. And about 30 yds each of the other two yarns. A rust dk and a dk brown sock weight.
I love this hat! The colors are absolutely perfect, and the variegated yarn really dresses it up. I like the way you made your tassels longer. I have to make another one!
OK … I have to make this hat … and I live in Florida. What does that say about HOW CUTE IT IS ! Thanks Slim for the inspiration and ArtLady for the extra push.
