Last night I had a moment. An epiphany if you will (I’m fasting right now, so it happens often).
I can knit.
I finally finished the Top Down Cardigan for my 4yo at about 2:00am and this amazing satisfaction came over me. I taught myself Continental from Amy’s video so I could do some Fair Isle. I graftd underarm seams, I striped a sweater from a solid pattern! Forgive me if this sounds immodest, but I was really stunned!
I get so much great encouragment from this forum,to plug ahead while I “Trust the Pattern” AND stray from it at will. That was a big part of finally getting this off the needles.
I’ll post another pic with my little one wearing it when I’ve got a digi cam.
That’s such an awesome feeling when you realize that you have the confidence and skills necessary to do any pattern and stray from it if desired/needed! :cheering:
