This bear was so cool to do… and I did it with some yarn that my wife didn’t really like so it was extra yarn…

It was fun as it was done flat. seamed and inverted… stuffed and stiched for details… :slight_smile:

Found the pattern on the net somewhere… and it tought me a few different things… people I’ve showed it to said my tension was 10x better with thing… :slight_smile:

Thanks for all the help from Silver and others with small technique tips.

Very nice job, Norman. I’m very impressed with the face. I’ve never tried embroidery over knit.

Really did surprise me how easy it was

I did some counted cross stich… so I used that idea on how to do it…

I used a Paper Needle found in my Scrapbooking supplies to thread 6 strings of floss (the full thread thickness) and just back stiched…

Course it could look better… but then that wouldn’t look hand done … :slight_smile:

A paper needle is a neele with a small eye but VERY long ( littel longer than a yarn needle) with a very sharp point… it’s used in scrapbooking when you want to sew on paper… kind of like sewing cloth, but doing it on 12x12 paper to give it a neat look… :slight_smile: it was the only needle I had at the time… looking back… I should have used a blunt needle… but didn’t have one with me.
