FO: The "4-Quarters" Pullover

Have you ever worked twice as hard on half as much? :pout:

Well, that’s this pullover! With all my frogging and re-do’s…I’ve knit this sweater twice! Read about the project, beginning to end… CLICK HERE

The pullover is knit in 4 quarters…two quarters are seamed up the middle to form THE FRONT and THE BACK halves. So, all 4 pieces are identical, with 2 being the reverse shaping of the other two.

Anyway, here’s the sweater! I plan to wear it with black jeans and a black parka. Today, in the photo, I’m wearing my blue plaid pj’s, left out of the photo!

THE BACK:

Sorry it was so much work, but it turned out great! Lovely on you, too.

You mean that’s not
how it’s suppose to done? :??
Darn, I wish someone had told me sooner. :help:

That is one lovely sweater.
After all, it’s the finished product that really matters.

Lana, you’re a kick! :teehee: I’ll bet you’re fun to live with! :happydance:

Too bad it was so much work, but at least you learned something from it! And you ended up with a fabulous sweater! :woohoo:

:roflhard: I’ll have to run that past the guy who lives with me.

Wow - that was some saga! Your perseverance paid off beautifully! Fabulous sweater :happydance:

Saga… perfect descriptor!!! :teehee:

I don’t know if I could have perservered! It looks fabulous!!

It was absolutely worth the effort! It even looks good with the pj’s (not shown). What yarn did you use?

Despite all your problems it turned out wonderful!! You’ll get lots of wear from it!

Hi Salmonmac!

This is the yarn…before winding and knitting! (Montage 10 ply) Color: Stoneblack #201

Beautiful!!

As usual just beautiful and the colors of the yarn are delicious.

It’s beautiful. You’re just making up the frogging story to make us all feel better.

You always do such neat work. Great job. It kills me how fast you crank out this stuff - frogging or no. :knitting:

Yeah, I know all about this method of “double knitting”, use it all the time. Very nice outcome for you, which is always a good thing. You are looking so svelte. :muah:

Beautiful sweater and it looks good on you.

Although, I would have cried, thrown the work down, and had a full blown temper tantrum on the floor.

Having worked and agonized with “hand paint yarns” previously, I kinda knew I was in for it! No surprises there! Kinda like, any woman who marries Charlie Sheen knows she’s in for some temper tantrums and anger issues! :teehee:

I knew what I was buying into. But let me tell ya…at our recent Pacific Northwest version of Stitches (The Madrona) I didn’t even look sideways, not even a glance, at all the dozens and dozens of yarn booths selling “hand paints”! Hand paints are only good for small projects…socks, hats, gloves, scarves. One or maybe two skeins. Even with two skeins you’ll have to alternate the skeins to get an even distribution of color! Hand paints can be an impossible nightmare for garment knitting! I think I have this pounded into my thick head now! :wall:
