Used Bendigo Woollen Mills 8 ply classic yarn on 3.25mm and 4.00mm needles.
For the toe stitches I did ‘Eye of the Partridge’ stitch on both the top and the bottom between the increase stitches. Continued ‘Eye of the Patridge’ stitch on sole only to under the ball of my foot and then again while working the gusset (sole stitches only) and continued through the heel turn and faux heel flap - I love how plush it feels.
Added texture pattern of ‘St John’s Wort’ to the top of the foot and front of leg - a great 4 row repeat pattern which really helps keeping track when having to count rows.
Great lookin’ foot! I’ve always admired sock knitters! Everyone says it’s easy, but it’s fiddley work, and takes concentration and patience. That’s what I’m thinking anyway, never having the courage to start a sock! :pout:
That is a beautiful sock. I love how it fits perfectly to the foot. I’ve always wanted my socks to fit that way… (sigh)
wonderfully done and I love the colour.
