FO - Spring Sweater

This is the Emmaline pattern from the last spring issue of Knitty.

You know, the one I had to frog about 30+ rows of… Well I kept trying it on and it was looking great - - - come to find out, the bind off does not stretch AT ALL. So… I can get it on, and it might look okay in the photo, but it feels like I have a tight rubberband around my hips. There’s just NO give in that bind off.

So I don’t know if I’ll ever wear it or not. BUT I figure… it’s my very first sweater. So maybe everyone has a goofy first try? :shrug:

All I can say is Jeny’s Surpisingly Stretchy Bind-off!! It’s very stretchy!

I love the bright color you chose! Too bad the bind off was disappointing :pout:

At least you learned something new though, and you completed a whole sweater! :yay:

I love this pattern, and you chose a really great color for it. I’m sorry you’re disappointed with the bind-off. Maybe you could frog it back a few rows and try a different one?

Such a pretty sweater and bright, springy color! Good luck changing to a different bindoff - it would be a shame not to wear it!

Love the color and I like the pattern too. At least you have attempted to do a sweater, I keep getting cold feet. Congratulations and I think it looks great>

Beautiful apple green color! Looks like it’s a nice fit, IMO!
