You turned out a very lovely hat. It doesn’t shout “beginner”, that’s for sure. Would love to see it on the ice with the rest of the set.
Yes, I hope the rink will freeze this year! It was too mild last winter to freeze, so our Christmas ice skates were of little use. 
Oh yes, please: cold enough to freeze the rink and the canal, cold enough to freeze the mosquitos.
