FO - Rosedale cardigan

Around Christmas a finished a Rosedale cardigan for myself. This was my first adult sweater/cardigan ever.

I used Noro Kureyon #170. I casted on for a medium size around the hips and stuck to a small around the chest and for the sleeves. I lengthened the body with 5 inches and the sleeves with 4. (I’m 6 foot)

I casted on first week of October and was finished knitting two days before Christmas. My mother helped me out with the zipper some days before New Year’s. I’ve worn it lots since!

I love the colors. And Im impressed by the way you were able to adapt the pattern to yourself.

That is beautiful!!!

WOW! That’s GORGEOUS! :inlove:

I LOVE the way the colors look in the ribbing…

Beautiful job! I’d like to make that sweater some day.

I LOVE IT :inlove:  :inlove:  :inlove:

Absolutely gorgeous!!! :inlove:

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful!! :inlove:

Those colors look great! It does look comfy!

That is gorgeous and it looks sooo comfortable. What a great sweater!!!

that is GORGEOUS!

wow - i love the colors. :inlove:

Me too!!! Have you tried corrugated ribbing? Here I did k2p1 and the knits were done with one strand and the purls in another. The selfstriping effect of Kureyon just makes it sooo much more interesting.

I actually thought I’d go with a medium all the way but trying it on after doing parts of the body I realised I didn’t need to do increases for the bust area (the pattern called for waist shaoping by decreasing after the ribbing) and the amount of stitches on my needle was about the same as I needed for a small. And as I had never done raglan decreases before, I went ahead with small on the sleeves as well just to be able to follow the pattern… So I cheated!

All: Thank you for your kind words on my Rosedale.

Beautiful sweater.

Beautiful! Great job!

So beautiful, Anna… I love it!

What a gorgeous cardigan to wear - you must get a lot of compliments!

Looks just like the one the model’s wearing! Except Better!!

Love your color choice!

 I’ve gotten a few but to be honest I think most people around me found it to be too colourful…

I love my colours and I think the intarsia rectangle in front is a very nice contrast to the brighter colours. The cardigan on the model is a bit too dark for my liking.

OMG. If I made a cardigan like that, I would admit myself to the fashion world as a designer. You are very talented, and should be proud!

That cardi is just stunning! Wow!! :inlove: :inlove:

Fantastic work–brag brag brag about having knit it!!

That is just perfection! I  it and MUST have one! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! If I knit that I don’t think I’d ever take it off. Ever.
