Well, it only took me two and a half months, but I finally finished another pair of socks. Work keeps me busy, hence the delay.

My pattern of choice was Cookie A’s Rhombus from her book knit. sock. love.

The yarn is A Tree Hugger Wife’s Soft Sock, and the color is Turquoise Puya. I purchased it in Juneau, Alaska, last summer during my Alaskan cruise. It’s dyed right there in Juneau, and the color reminds me of Hubbard Glacier, which we were fortunate to get very close to.

I loved this pattern! It’s deceptively easy and went by fast once I got the hang of the increases.

The needles were size 1 (2.5mm), and I used the two circ method, which is my favorite.

This pair is a gift for my daughter’s college roommate who asked for a pair when I stayed with Chicky a couple of days in October. Her roommate seemed genuinely interested in the knitting projects I’ve posted on Facebook, and with such sincerity, I couldn’t resist making her a pair.

Hope you enjoy the rest of the pictures!

Very lovely indeed! That pattern really shows up well on these socks. Your daughter’s roommate is one lucky person–and maybe your gift will inspire her to knit, too!! :yay:
Thanks, all! I will admit that I am addicted to sock yarn. I have soooo much of it!! I just bought two more skeins. We’re on Spring Break, and I drove 1.5 hrs (each way) to my favorite yarn store to treat myself. Plus, I had a 20% coupon, and I just couldn’t let that expire without using it!! :teehee:
Got a text from my daughter this afternoon. She was finally able to check her mail, and the package was there, waiting for her roommate. My girl sent me a picture of her roommate wearing the socks. They were a PERFECT fit, and she LOVES them!!
