FO - Priceless White Diamonds Baby Blanket

I made this blanket for the same friend who asked me to make a baby hat for her. She had no idea that I was halfway finished with the blanket. I love surprising people.

The pattern is from the Leisure Arts #3219 book.

I used 2.5 skeins of Loops and Threads yarn and size 5 needles.

I completed 20 pattern repeats. The pattern became easier as I went along, and soon, I was flying through the blanket. I made 44 tassels across each end.

I didnā€™t measure it before I wrapped it. Itā€™s pretty big, thoughā€¦plenty large enough to wrap a baby in!

Stunningly beautiful!:yay:

Thatā€™s beautiful!! A real heirloom blanket!

What a gorgeous blanket! It is a treasure and a wonderful gift for your friend.

Beautiful blanket! What a lucky friend!

Thatā€™s beautiful! :inlove:

Iā€™ve been looking for a pattern to use as a runner on top of my long dresser ā€“ I think this might be it! (I already own this book and had forgotten this design until I saw your blanket.)

Thanks for sharing!

It is just beautiful. That baby is going to be snuggly in it and your friend is going to love it. :muah:

Wow! Priceless is right! Youā€™ve done a super job on this!!

What a beautiful piece of knitting! I am sure it would be a great surprise for your friend

Thanks, all! I gifted it today, and my friend was very touched. This was her fourth child. I think that people sometimes assume that parents of multiple children donā€™t ā€œneedā€ anything, but I wanted this baby to have his own blanketā€¦no hand-me-downs this time!

Well doggone it! This blanket is SO PERFECT it almost looks like a machine knit! (this is a compliment!)
Your blanket is DIVINE! Iā€™m in awe! Great work!

What a beautiful job, and beautiful gift for you friend. Wow!
