FO: photos of DD in Mara Shawl

Here it is! She loves it!

Your DD looks beautiful in the shawl. Lovely work.

Very nice. DD and shawl go well together.

It is beautiful, she is beautiful and looks like her beautiful mom!!

Simply lovely - DD and the shawl! :happydance:

Both are lovely! I do like the drape that you got using the size 9 needle!

Thanks! I’m currently knitting another Mara shawl for myself using a similar yarn, but this time I’m using a US 10.5. It’s working out great. The yarn is Ella Rae “Latte”. Although its bulky weight, it’s working out just about the same as Malabrigo Merino. I’m hoping that by using a heavier (single ply) yarn that it won’t take soooooo lonnnnnng to reach the required 46" width in garter stitch before starting the fun part, the ruffle.

Beautiful!!

LOL, you are so right! I love the yarn, and the bulky weight should make a warm and cozy Mara, too. I’ll be curious to hear how many stitches you have across the 46" wingspan using the bulky weight yarn. Can’t wait to see the completed shawl!

OMG!! ArtLady you are the QUEEN of a good yarn.

I love it - stunning!!

Dollyce, so nice to see the picture of your beautiful daughter and the classy shawl you made for her. I’m going to have to poke around some more and see what you’ve been making. I know you never slow down.
