This pattern is called Perdita. This pattern, free on Knitty, actually consists of three patterns for three different bracelets.
I made Bluebell.
I used Artiste DMC Cotton Pearl. The colorway is #790196. It’s a light blue…very pretty.

I used size 0 needles and made the XS size. I should have made the small though, which only adds one more repeat.
I bought the beads at Hobby Lobby. It’s the Chocolate/Blue mixture. I used a .75mm crochet hook to string the beads as I knit. I did not string them all beforehand. This link explains how to add beads to a project.

The pattern was super-easy. I easily knit it in one evening…during a movie that Chicky and I sat down to watch together.
I’m so happy that I’ve been practicing my crocheting skills, because I was able to SC around one end and chain the button loops. I wound up adding an extra button because there was a large gap between the two I originally put on. The extra repeat would have prevented this gap. Hindsight. All worked out in the end.

The buttons are actually brown, not orange.
I absolutely love this little bracelet and will probably make more in different colors!
Beautiful! That’s the first knitted bracelet I’ve seen that I actually like well enough to want to make it myself. I think I have crochet thread 'round here somewhere…
So delicate and pretty on your arm! I love it and I can certainly see making more.
KnittinGal, do give the charts a chance. They really aren’t difficult to follow. Some people prefer them and others avoid them but they’re certainly worth a try.
Although I prefer too knit by charts, I actually used the long-hand version of the instructions simply because the stitches have to be reversed on the wrong side. It was easier just to read across the written out instructions. There aren’t many stitches on the needles, so it’s easy.
But do give chart knitting a go. I love it! Most designers use the same symbols, so once you learn them, it’s even easier!
Quite cute and elegant - good knitting and a nice colour combination too.
I think this technique is very suited for bracelets. If ony I had thinner left over yarn…
BTW, in English - what is this called? LACE? For I know it as Ajour (in Dutch knitting terms), but I think that is a French term (in origin). We translate the English word ‘lace’ to a different term, so I am just wondering whether there is a different english term than lace for this kind of work
I agree. I really wouldn’t wear most of the knitted/crocheted jewelry that I’ve seen. I would wear this one. I found a crochet necklace on Rav that I might wear. I think it was called Seaweed? Anyway, yours is beautiful!! How long did it take to make it?
