FO: Peaks Island Hood

Pattern: Peaks Island Hood
Yarn: Berroco Ultra Alpaca in Flannery Red

I made this for my co-worker Elaine’s birthday. It’s the first time I’ve used Ultra Alpaca. It’s light for a worsted, and I knit it on size 9’s rather than 10’s as called for in the pattern. The fabric was just too loose on size 10. It was a bit itchy but softened up some in blocking. The colors are gorgeous, though.
I decided to eliminate the buttons – just don’t like the way they look. If it needs to be secured I’ll recommend a shawl pin, but it seems fine just wrapped once around the neck.

What a beauty! I love it, Slim.

oooooooooohhh! lucky co-worker! are you hiring?:roflhard:

I love it too and the color looks good on you.

Beautiful job and gorgeous colorway!

Gorgeous :inlove: I like the idea of the shawl pin better than buttons, too!

Oooh, that is so pretty! I like it better without the buttons too!

That’s beautiful! (and you could be a model too!!)

[COLOR=Blue]As usual, this is another beautiful work of art, Slim!
BTW: your Rav link didn’t work…so I found your project and re-linked it.

Lovely! Great color you chose and beautiful job!

So beautiful! Love that color!
