I love this pattern. It’s easy to remember and I think it looks really nice. I made this in Noro Silk Garden, colourway 246. I finally understand why people love Noro. I wasn’t impressed the first time I felt it in the store but the colours are so beautiful and after washing it softens up and gets ever-so-slightly fuzzy and has a wonderful texture. :heart:

I’m giving it away for Christmas and I’m so afraid the recipient isn’t going to love it as much as I do. She’s a sweet lady but I don’t know if she understands handknitted gifts. Oh well. I guess I’ll find out. Definitely making another one for myself in Kureyon some day.

I have so many bigger projects on the needles/hook I needed to get the quick satisfaction of a fast knit. And since I’m wearing my hair in twists at the moment, my hair can actually fit in one of these standard knit hats! So I did the Foliage pattern from Fall 07 Knitty in handspun I bought in South Africa. I think it is the first and only project I’ve done in handspun.
