Well, I finally busted out of my knitting funk! I’ve been wanting to make one of these for a while, but for some reason I’ve been having trouble getting my knit on.
Anyway, the patterns are very well written, easy to follow and produce great results. This is the sculpture bag with an unfurling rose.
I think I’m going to line it and I haven’t decided what to do about a handle yet. Really, I’m much more of a strap girl…so I’ll have to decide if I want to knit one or use something like a silver chain.
Thanks everyone! I finally decided to go with the i-cord strap…I edited the post to include that picture. I really like the way the two color strap turned out…I’ll definitely use that trick again.
Some of the bags come with their own flower pattern included although most are sold separately. Right now there are four different flower patterns.
It would make a cute makeup bag. It’s 12" wide at the top and 7" high.
I finally got around to adding the lining and zipper today. I also cut a piece of plastic canvas to make the bottom a little more sturdy. The only thing I would do different next time is make the lining a little taller and machine sew the zipper to it first, THEN handsew the whole thing to the top at once.
