I designed a simple neck pillow yesterday. It came out cute and comfy, but too lumpy to sell or impress anybody.
If you’d like to mess with one of your own, here are the instructions. Maybe you can improve on this idea.

I’m gonna try this again with a 2nd strand of yarn but only slightly larger needles to give it more body so it will hold its shape better. I’m also gonna cast on with fewer stitches so the ends will close up better. Wish me luck! (I’ll post again if it works.)
Neat idea for a quick knit! :yay:
Thanks. I revised it and liked it better, but it was still too much work for what it looked like. Today I’m gonna try a simple tube and see how that turns out. The good news is that these really work great, so once I get a decent design working, I’ll have a nice gift item.
Hey! That is really coool!!! Good work!!!
That’s one very good idea.
Knitting too long at one sitting really wears on my neck.

Have you thought of using short rows to make the pillow curve like sigmoid (C shape)?
Do you start these pillows like toe up socks? And do you end like grafting the toe of a sock (after stuffing, I would guess).
It is a very cool idea. [/COLOR]
