FO - my first sweater

Ok, so it’s a pullover for an infant, but it’s still a sweater, and even though it’s not error-free, I am still pretty proud of it. Not bad for someone who’s only been knitting a couple of months…or so I would like to think. OK, so now I get to go back to my “practice” pair of wristers that are helping me get used to DPNS.

:woot:

It came out great!! i love the neck decoration!!

I think you did a fantastic job for your first sweater. It matters not what size a sweater is. You learned the construction of a sweater from this project. Good for you! I really like the decorations on the front. They add a lovely finishing touch. Congrats on a job very well done!

A very luck baby to get this beautiful sweater1:cheering: Great job:thumbsup:

The sweater looks great! :cheering: :cheering: :cheering:

That is so sweet, I think you did a great job.
Especially the fact that you have only been knitting for a few months.
Well Done!!!

It’s adorable, and it looks like you did a great job!

I made baby sweaters first to increase my skills before going for adult sweaters and socks, they are so fun to give away.

:yay: Great job!! Very cute :happydance:

Oh, how sweet. It does not matter that it is for an infant, it is about learning technique(s). If you took away some new knowledge from this project and improved on your knitting skills it has been a good day. I’m sure mother and baby will appreciate a new, nice, warm sweater.

It looks so great! And that it for for a child is a great way to learn the techniques and see progress faster…great job! I love the buttons!

Looks very nice. Great job on your first sweater.

This is a lovely sweater! You’ve done a great job

I  it! I remember after I finished my first sweater I thought that I could do anything :yay:

That is a BEAUTIFUL baby sweater. Knitting only a few months? You already look like a pro. Congrats on your FO!

 VERY nice!

Wow - CONGRATS!!! It looks fabulous! I’ve been knitting for a couple of years now and still haven’t tried a sweater! KUDOS to you!

Oh, that’s darling!

Thanks, everyone, for the heartwarming words of support and such. Makes me feel great to read them from all you experts out there!

I presented the expectant mother with the sweater today, and she was just tickled, really loved the sweater - color, softness, style, everything. She said it was “just precious” and that she applauded my “talent” (HAH!) and patience!

So now I feel like a great knitter! And, as I said, now I get to get back to those wristers I’m making from Lion Brand Wool-Ease as training on using dpns.

It looks so soft–I love it!

It looks great, knitting for babies is such fun.
