FO - My first socks!

I used Silver’s Tutorial and Knit Picks Parade in Plum. Also used size 4 bamboo DPN’s. The tutorial was easy to follow once I learned how to use DPN’s. The yarn isn’t as soft as I’d hoped, but after washing it does feel better. I can feel the texture of the stitches on my feet so a smaller needle and finer yarn probably makes better socks…at least for me.

:cheering: Hurray for you! They look fantastic1

Yay! :cheering: They might get softer after you’ve worn them a few times, too. I haven’t finished my Parade socks yet, but my other socks have gotten softer after being rubbed in shoes.

They look great!

:cheering: :happydance: :cheering: FANTASTIC socks :happydance: :cheering: :happydance:

Those look great! I need to venture off to the world of knitting socks!

They look great! I’m close to finishing my first pair of socks using Silver’s tutorial as well – she does such a great job of explaining everything.

so you finally took the big step :happydance: the socks look Marrrrrrrrrrrvelous !!!

They look great. They look like they were commercial socks and not handmade. You did a great job.

Looks great–you did a wonderful job!

Knitaholic

Those look wonderful!! :cheering:
I too need to venture off into the world of sock making. Guess that means I should learn how to use dpn’s.

Bamboo…can’t stress it enough for learning to use them. :roflhard:

Nice job - they look great!

Aren’t socks wonderful? You did a fantastic job on your first pair, congrats!!

And the addiction begins…

Congrats :cheering: . . . they look great! What an inspiration. . . I started the silver tutorial this weekend with a self-striping yarn, too. I hope mine look as good as yours do when I am finished!

Great job Jan!

Dude check out the socks! They are really good! Well done you! :XX: :cheering:

Woot Jan! They look fabulous! :cheering: I’m working through Silver’s tutorial at the moment using an acrylic DK yarn as a ‘tester’ sock. I managed to get some cheap cashmere/cotton blend wool at the weekend which comes with a free fingering weight pure cashmere wool as a bonus. I want to try a sock on the home made dpns with this acrylic to practice then hit the cashmere =D

Your socks look gorgeous, hope mine turn out as well! :XX:

Those are awesome!
