I just put pictures up on my blog of the sweater that I finished last night. It’s the first adult sweater that I’ve ever made so I’m very excited to see if it fits on Christmas day!
FO-My First Adult Sweater
You did a beautiful job on that sweater, it is gorgeous. I am sure your FIL will love it. BTW your son is adorable.
Very Nice! Great job and whoever gets this should just love it!
It’s for my Father-in-law. He picked out the pattern and even went with me to pick out the yarn!
Gorgeous! You did a great job on that!
beautyful work on the sweater! and thanks for the tip on binding off my so called scarf I’m making one now:muah: .
Let me know if you find a bind off technique that works well. One end is nice and square while the other one fans out. UGH!
I just looked a the videos here and I think the “One-Over Two Bind Off” might work for that scarf. Let me know how it turns out - I’m not riping my out at this point.
Nice Job! :woohoo: Theres no stoping you now,LOL!
It looks great
Wonderful!! Did I miss what yarn you used? I’m thinking of knitting my husband a sweater … No cables for him, but that yarn might be nice.
Looks great. A wonderful gift.
I used Wool-Ease Chunky in charcoal. It needed to be washable and this worked well. I’m very pleased with how quickly it knit up - but then again anything bulky weight tends to knit up quickly
Wow…looks great! VERY masculine and comfy looking.

What a great, manly sweater! The cable work is fantastic. He’s gonna love it!
Beautiful knitting! FIL will love it!
You did a great job. I’m sure you FIL will love it.
Very nice Suzie! Dontcha just love that book? I made my DH the Basketcase Jacket…and I loved doing it! Let us know how it finally fit! If the sleeves were picked up at the shoulder area and knit downwards…as was the Basketcase Jacket…you should be able to lengthen or shorten the sleeves easily!
Thanks for sharing your accomplishment! Great job!
:happydance: That’s great!!
It looks awesome and I know he will love it
Very nice! He’ll love it
