It has been a long while since I’ve shared a project here, so I thought I’d post my latest FO, a Mermaid for my daughter. The pattern is from this book: Dream Toys. I used Caron Simply soft for her body, and Peaches n Cream Lilac Ombre for her hair, and added silver highlights with some silver embroidery thread.
I’ve also made the princess and pirate dolls in the past from the same book, it’s got some lovely patterns in it. The only alterations I made were to do most of the knitting in the round.
I learned a new embroidery stitch too, called the bullion stitch, for adding some starfish embellishments to her tail and sweater.
My daughter is delighted with her! And I must say so am I. 
ETA: Hmmm, I don’t know why I can’t get the pictures to show up in the post. They’re just listed as attachments. I’ve switched to a new computer, so maybe that’s the reason. And the knittinghelp website won’t let me make any changes to it? Weird.
ETA: never mind, I figured it out, but I’d like to delete the attachments and Knittinghelp won’t let me, does anyone know how I do that?
