The title says it. I made a ‘grown up’ sweater for my son. I asked him “to look busy” and these are the photos I got. The raglan line is a bit strange because I used kfb increase, and it’s a bit raised… I didn’t like it at first but then made peace with it. The yarn is 60% wool, 40% alpaca, brought from Ukraine last May. I had to buy a new travelling bag because I discovered that natural fibre yarns are so much cheaper there
Also, it took me a year (A YEAR!) to finish it when I was working full-time and studying part-time. (Now I am in school full-time). Also, this is the first big-ish project with Sport weight yarn and 3 mm needles. Now I feel much more comfortable with fine yarns thanks to this little sweater.

There is no pattern, it’s just a basic top down raglan. My mom was the one who shared her “recipe” and I made a few sweaters like that. But I found that sleeves were too wide and for this one I used Yarn Harlot’s proportion for sleeves/body.
I cast on a number of stitches between two front raglan lines (sleeve 1, back, sleeve 2) and knit flat adding one stitch at the beginning and the end of every other row to make a V-neck. When I had the same number of added stitches for the front than those for the back, I joined the ends and knit in a round from that point on. (Note to self, and possibly some others: adding one stitch every three rows will make a deeper V and you won’t have to worry if the head will go through)
It’s a wonderful pullover! The stitches themselves turned out so perfect! And I must say, I do like the raglan line! It has character! On a field of st st, it stands out with personality, but not in a disturbing way! Great job of knitting, of bearing handsome children, and great photography!
