Hi all! I finally had the chance to use Malabrigo – a gift from a fellow KH’er! :yay:
This is the Leaf Lace Scarf. Here’s the link for the free pattern. The color of the yarn is “Lettuce.” I completed 37 pattern repeats before binding off. The finished size is 67 1/2" x 7 3/4".
I have to say that this is the first time I’ve been proud of my blocking. I used KP’s lace blocking wires.
Here’s a picture of what it looked like when I was about 1/3 of the way done…obviously before blocking…
This is probably one of the prettiest pieces of lace that I’ve ever made. I’m extremely happy with it and was proud to gift it to a good friend.
What a beautiful scarf! I have the beginnings of a lace scarf and it requires so much of my concentration that I never work on it!
How long did take you to do this one?
The color is gorgeous, I love green!

Technically, I started it on July 5th, but I worked on other projects too. I put it down for the Olympics to work on my dishcloth KAL. I think that if I had worked straight through on it, I would have probably needed a couple of weeks. The rows went very quickly, once you got into a rhythm.
GORGEOUS!!!:cheering::cheering: Love the color too!
I’ve been wanting to make some lace scarfs for X-mas and have been putting it off because if the people I give it to have to wash it how are they gonna block it,and do they really want to deal with blocking it.Anybody else had this thought?
