FO: Lace scarf....last minute Christmas gift!

My dh didn’t put any thought into Christmas gifts for his parents so at the last minute I knitted this scarf for his mom. It came out great but I vow to never use this yarn again. It was Patons Divine, and while it is beautiful and so soft and nice and fuzzy (it’s partly mohair) it was very challenging to work with and not a quick knit for me. I used US 10.5 needles and this lace pattern:

I didn’t officially block it, because it is mostly acrylic and probably wouldn’t stay blocked, but I did pin it for one picture so you could see the pattern a bit better.

oooh, that is pretty!! and wow, it looks hard for a “last minute” gift! I think that’d be a last month gift for me, :lol:

I have worked with that yarn too-it sure is soft but you’re right, it’s not really quick.

Thanks! It looks more complicated that it is. It only has a cast on of 17 stitches and I used just one ball of yarn (approx 150m, I think). I think I’ll use the lace pattern again, even if I don’t use the yarn.

I sat down and tried this one last night…thanks for the link to the pattern. I only have 5 inches…just wanted to give it a whirl to see how it knitted…and to try my SB crystallites I won in a give a way at M’s.
