I did this in just 2 days! I adore quick projects. It’s also my first time working in 2 different colors! Definitely not as scary as I thought it would be. And my first time making a kitchener stitch! I was terrified to try that, but was really surprised to find that it was super easy. :mrgreen:

I’m making a Ravenclaw scarf for my first project. I like this idea for a potential matching second project. Only I don’t own a Kindle. I’ll have to search around for patterns that would be something like this but smaller and iphone-sized. My phone currently has no case. And I will most likely have extra yarn when I’m done with my scarf.
I saw your scarf, it’s awesome! That’s next on my list. I didn’t follow a pattern for this actually. I think it’d be pretty easy for you to do it on your own for your iPhone too. Just measure your phone, figure out what your gauge is, and multiply the number of stitches per inch times double the width of the phone (if you knit it in the round), and you’ve got the number of stitches you need to cast on! I used the gauge specified on the yarn, which was 17 stitches in 4 inches: so that’s 4.25 stitches per inch, times the width of my Kindle, and I ended up with 42 stitches. Then just try it on as you go along until the piece is long enough to fit your phone. I hope that made sense!
Yes, makes sense. And yay that it’s in the round because the scarf also is. Although my phone is small enough that I’d probably need smaller needles.
