FO: Irish Hiking Scarf (but with bulky yarn and only 2 cables per row)

Hiya! Here’s my “modified” version of the Irish Hiking Scarf. I didn’t like the way it felt on worsted weight yarn, so I used a bulky weight and was a lot happier with it. It’s done! YAY! :cheering::cheering: :cheering:

That’s exactly what i did (the bulky weight) and it’s much yummier that way!!! Great job, looks so warm  What yarn did you use?

Very pretty! It looks so thick and warm, and the color is great.

Very nice! I like it that way.

:happydance: Great job!!

Looks great

Very nice I love the colour x

I used Wool-Ease Chunky in Willow. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement. :yay: :yay: :yay:

oooooo i love it in bulky weight! i have some bulky malabrigo i want to use for a scarf but am not sure i have enough yarn…approx. how many yards do you think you used for the scarf?

Hmmm…I used almost two full skeins, and I believe each skein has 153 yards. Does that help?

Here’s the label info:

5.00 oz./140 g (153 yd/140 m)
80% Acrylic, 20% Wool

:muah:

What a beautiful scarf! I love the color, in the bulky and with only two cables. It looks great that way! I think I’ll try it with only two cables when (and if!lol) I ever get around to this pattern. Thanks for sharing!

Lovely!! It looks so warm and comfy!!!

Good job nice color.

yes, it does help, thanks!

Very pretty, I love it with the bulky yarn. It looks so warm and soft!:cheering:
