FO:hats

The cable hat and the pink/coral with the dangly pompom are for my nieces, the blue with brown stripes is for the little boy next door and brown and gray for my brother. I wanted to take some nicer pics with natural lighting, but for the second day in a row it is raining.

Yarns:

  • cabled hat and two pink/coral hats: Plymouth Grande Baby Alpaca
  • brown/gray hat: KP Andean Silk
    – blue with brown stripes: KP Decadence

Optical illusion for me. It looks like the lighter blue one that is gathered at the top is hovering over the others, as if suspended in air. Or is it just me? It could be just me. I’ve had a lot of coffee today. :clink:

Its not just you, that looks like a floating hat :teehee:.

Awesome job Candice :cheering:

How cool, a pattern for a floating hat!!! Is that one made from the flying alpacas with blue fur that sing Broadway hits? I think I saw some of those when I had my wisdom teeth pulled.

Back on topic - the hats look great!

Now that I look at the picture, it does look like a levitating hat… but it is not… just sitting on a clear plastic container. Here it is on its own. The pattern is Sugar on Snow from Knitty. I don’t usually like the look of cables, but I like these faux cables and they were fun to knit. It is for my 4-year-old niece.

Um. It still kinda looks like it is levitating…

:oo:

I was thinking the same thing!! I think its a magical hat that looks like its floating no matter how you photograph it :teehee:

thanks! now I want cake too.
