Hats for charity for the most part. Occasionally a kid from my husbands ceramics class will buy one. I think only one is actually done from a pattern. If someone is interested in a pattern/design I will write it up if I remember it.
99% of these are made with Plymouth Encore from my stash. Sorry about posting in separate posts. My iPad or KH won’t let me post more than one pic per post.
You’ve really been busy… They’re all great, however I’ve fallen in love with the one in set 3, bottom row left. The black/white/gray combo is stunning!
Jan, think of how many warm heads there’ll be this winter because of your generosity. The hats are wonderful, varied and imaginative. What a kind thing to do!
Great looking hats. Many warm heads this winter!! I like all the color combinations.
Our LYS does hats and mittens for the local homeless Vets. I’m planning on getting some hats done after Christmas as I too have a lot of odds and ends of yarn in my stash that I need to use to make room for more yarn!!:teehee:
Yep! I’m sure I’m not alone in having yarn that turned out to be itchy for me, not enough for a good size project or just scraps. I find I enjoy turning it into hats (or other small projects) for someone in need. It’s been a great project for learning new techniques and experimenting.
My favourite ones are the black and white and the pink/brown one next to it in the third photo.
The black and white one seems to be a popular choice. In fact my housekeeper loved it so I told her she could have it. I liked making that one so I’ll have to make some more, but maybe other colors, too. :teehee:
Oh Jan, those are all very very attractive hats. I love hats…it must have been fun making them, and such creative designs, colours. Kudos to your great work!
…but what will you do next?
