FO hat and scarf set and WIP Queen Kahuna socks

This hat and scarf I made as a Christmas present for my BIL - they’re made in Wool Ease. The socks I’m doing as a KAL with my SnB group using the Queen Kahuna Crazy Toes and Heels Socks book and they are being made with Paton’s Kroy Socks.

Nice! I like all those colors! I used wool-ease on a hat and I just recently washed it and it’s very soft now!

Everything looks great! I  the color of those socks!! :inlove:

Wow!! Great work. I love the scarf/hat set - the colors are great, too! You are going to love doing the Queen Kahuna Socks. I just finished my first pair and have started on the second pair. “Queen Kahuna” is a genius!
It looks like you have made a wonderful start on your pair.

Everything looks fantastic!

I love that sock yarn!! Everything looks great.

Great pieces of work! The socks look so fun!

Very nice! I haven’t gotten my head around that sock technique, but it looks very clever. Love the colors of your sock yarn!

Thanks everyone! I never thought I would be doing 2 socks on 2 circs (especially since I only made my first sock on DPN’s about 2 months ago and only have done 2 more socks since!), but the KAL at my SnB group egged me on to do it. I really didn’t understand it at all until I sat down with the book and read through some of it and skimmed a bunch as well. Right now I’m kind of just reading as I need to. The really nice thing is that you don’t have to swatch if you don’t want to for toe up socks! I hate swatching!! LOL. My feet will be very colorfull when these are done, and no SSS to deal with ;).

The hat and scarf look so lusciously cozy, and the socks are so festive!! Nice work on everything! :cheering:

Hi,

Can you tell me how you made the hat? I really love it. I’ve been looking for a hat to make (will be my first) and I really like yours.

Thanks!

I love the colors of the all the projects! :cheering: Awesome job!!

a question… Are toe-up socks hard? :??

Here is the pattern I used for the hat:

HTH!

Well, I don’t know if they are really hard or not. I’m just following the directions in the book step by step. It is a bit different, but the author explains everything quite well. Although I have been knitting for 20 years and am fairly experienced, there are still things I don’t know and this technique is all new to me!

Well, I have been knitting away at these socks and I turned the first heel last night! The next pair will definitely go faster since I won’t have to read every single little detail in the book as I go. This technique is sure interesting though and so far has been pretty fun to see how it works as I go. Not as hard as I thought it would be at all!

Looking good!!!

What book are you using?
