So I lost a skein of yarn while working on my whisper cardigan.(how does a skein just disappear? cats can I please have it back?) So waiting for another one to arrive I did the Green Gable top from Zepher Style. It is a super fast project that is summery yet work friendly. The yarn is Wick from Knit one Crochet two. Really nice feel to it but it does snag a bit so be careful when you knit with it.
I really like the way it came out. I like the way it makes my arms look. I think this is a nice flattering summer top that is nice for work without being stodgy.
Wow! It turned out great! And such a lovely color too. I read somewhere that for this pattern the sizes run small and you need to knit the next size larger if you don’t want it to fit tight. Did you find that to be true?
I’m really small chested so I had no problem in the chest area. I wear a 32B. That is a padded bra in the picture. BUT i did find the sleeves to be a bit tight. I am pretty muscular in my shoulders and biceps. I don’t know what my shoulders measures but my biceps are 11 inches not flexed. I had to block it to make it a little looser. If i were to do it again I would increase a little more maybe 5-10 more stitches in the sleeves.
Thanks! Modeling would be so much fun if I wasn’t 5 feet tall! maybe I could change the fashion industry standards. I did martial arts for a reallllllly long time which gave me my shape.
I am naturally pretty small. My mother is smaller than me and she had 4 kids!. (People always think she is my sister) But I do have to watch what I eat now since I don’t excerise enough. Though I do some exercise just not enough.
