FO: Gingham cardigan

I finished the Penny Cardigan pattern by Wool And The Gang and I’m so pleased with it!!! The most labor-intensive and patience-testing pattern i’ve done so far because it involves a ton of weaving to create the gingham pattern, as well as then weaving in the 10 million ends afterwards. i feel quite proud of myself and excited to wear it out and about!! And big thank you to those who helped me when I posted asking for help with fixing the buttonband on here, it really helped me get the last stretch finished! I could’ve done a better job seaming the sides as you can see they’re a bit wavy, but I’m calling it good enough

Looks really lovely, well done, I think you must have the patience of a saint to have not only knitted your lovely cardi but sewed in all those ends. Brilliant job, very well done.

You did a beautiful job and what a cute pattern! Im so impressed with it Im trying to design a gingham knit fabric for machine knitting using our built in knit/weave technique. If I work it out, then hello Penny Cardigan!

This is not exactly it, as it is designed to be fully automatic. And not woven at all. And it shows on the knit side (reverse side is floats and tucks). But I can always go to it if I fail.

Thank you all so much! I work remotely now due to the pandemic so I did a loooot of weaving while having my camera off in work meetings  otherwise I don’t think I ever would have finished! Though it was a pain, now that it’s over I really do cherish it, and I do appreciate the woven texture of it as well.

@FluffyYarn that sample looks great, you should give it a go!!
