Love this bag!! The only thing is I put the straps on in the wrong place.Should of been on the points(Duh):roflhard:.I am gonna cut them off and put them in the right place.:teehee: I knit one square and the picked up sts to add another square, less seaming that way
I also did a applied I-cord all around the top and for the straps.I added a Celtic Knot button on the snap.
Oh man, these bags are so neat! I am going to have to make one, too! Love it, Julie!
I think it looks perfect as is! Love it very much - I must look up the pattern.
ETA: What is the name of the pattern/where is it?
This is really cute, I love the colors you chose, I might have to make me one of those! And about the straps, I guess it will look better where they go, but I think they look great where they are!! If I were you, I would just leave them as is unless it makes it difficult to put on your shoulder or something. Just a thought!
It’s beautiful! I love the blue and white, what pretty colours. I’m loving seeing this bag in all different colours around here! I think the handles look fine where they are, too ![]()
There’s no official pattern. It was designed by Ishi on Ravelry. It’s just 22 garter stitch striped squares (for example, I did mine 17 sts x 34 rows (incl cast on and bind off) which = 17 stripes). The trick is in how the squares are seamed together to form the bag. You can see the photo of how/where to put the squares together on Ishi’s Project Page at Ravelry.
Awesome, what a fabulous bag!
i know the straps are supposed to be at the points… but i kind of like them like that!
WOW WOW WOW! This is one great bag!!!
Thanks for posting the extra steps, showing the birth of the bag!
B-U-T-ful!!! Thanks for all you tips!! Love this bag!

Thanks again everyone for the lovely comments:hug: I did fix the handles and will take pics of it later to day if the sun ever comes out.

Lovely, lovely job!!
I love it!!! I am going to have to make myself one of those bags. They would also be great Christmas gifts.
Wow, that is beautiful! I love it!
Stunning bag ! Well done
Love this bag!! I kinda like the straps where they are – adds to the geometric interest ![]()
Wow! That’s a gorgeous bag!
