It all started with this one…which needed some changes to relieve stress points found when blocking…made with lace weight Zephyr, a 50/50% Wool Silk:
Then having eliminated the stress and changed to a luscious, golden yellow in fingering weight with the same fiber content… FIRELIGHT is now a full fledged pattern that can be found on Ravelry, Patternfish and soon at BBKnits.com:
(psss… I gotta secret! I bought the pattern and the yarn, and intend to start it shortly after the first of the year. :whimper: my Christmas queue is just too long to start it any sooner)
Couldn’t stand it another minute - started it today. Will still likely have to set it aside until after Christmas, but I HAD to see how it went together, and how it looked in my charcoal yarn. I have it double stranded with another laceweight variegated yarn to add some depth and character to the charcoal. What do you all think?
Please ignore lifelines and stitchmarkers… it’s a WIP… and right now - it’s all bunched up on the needles so you can’t really see the pattern.
AHA! I did get my mother’s guilt genes!!! LOL! It really, honestly, truthfully resembles a…(wait for it)…charcoally blob! BUT…(and that’s a BIG BUT) I love that shade and from experience…I know it’ll be just fabulous! :flirt: :flirt: :flirt:
