I took a class at the LYS to learn to do Fairisle. The pattern was a simple little hat. I did the red one first and the white ones later at home. I can’t remember what yarn I used because it was mostly stuff from my stash. I do remember the yarn being wool. I used a size 7 needle.
Those hats are beautiful! So is the baby. How fun to learn fair isle knitting!
mayday
Wow, they look wonderful! Isn’t fair isle fun!?
That’s one stylin’ baby–absolutely beautiful, too!
Wow, they look great! And the gorgeous model helps too!
Those are really pretty. I am taking a class in January because I tend to hold the yarn so tightthe pattern puckers and looks awful Great job on your hats and a great model!!!Tillie
Stunning !!!
They turned out great and your model is so cute!
Awwww.
So cute! Good job on the hats too!
I love them all…I could never get the hang of fairisle!
What a cute little model you have there.
Those are beautiful!
:woot: How cute!! You did a great job…:woot:
Thank you everyone for the kind words. The model is my first Granddaughter. Her Mama is in the Army. She is currently deployed to Baghdad, Iraq so the baby, Mia stays with me. And needless to say I am enjoying every second of her being here.
Mia is soooo cute! You did a very nice job on the hats. They fit her very nice too.
What great hats!!! Very nice job.
All very cute! Great job with the Fair Isle.
That a very handsome baby! Oh, and the hats are great
I just finished my first two color project. You can see it at my blog. Those hats are beautiful but I think the baby is cuter. :yay:
Great hats!! You did really well on the Fair Isle on all of them. Hats are so much fun and Fair Isle is a good skill to ply on them. I like the little i-cord “stem” on top of the one hat.
Cute little model too. It looks like he is starting to try to pull the hat off in a couple of the pictures. LOL Par for the course. Or maybe he is pulling it on…Nah.
