This evening as DH and DS were pulling together the things they would need for their excursion to Chicago tomorrow, we discovered that we didn’t have any knit stocking caps that would fit or that weren’t “too scratchy.” So, I pulled out the Lion Brand Jiffy Thick & Quick I had in my stash and whipped up a hat for him after he went to bed. I hope he likes it!!
What a MOM! :cheering: When the wind whips around the corner, he’ll love it. Much better than running out to Walmart in the middle of the night, huh!

This is the first hat he’s actually worn happily! He’s NOT a hat guy, but this morning when he got up, and I showed it to him, he said, “Cool! And it’s even got a stripe in it like I wanted.” He popped it on and was off. Perhaps I now have a hat convert. 
I’ll have to see if I can get a picture of him in it later when he gets home.

Given the frigid temps here lately, I think the battle would’ve been a short one. 
But at least now Dad doesn’t have to listen to him complain about an itchy head all day!

how special is that to go to sleep and wake up and a hat appears? Kinda like an elf. That is motherly love and a nice looking hat as well.
