I wanted to send something along to the next knitter of one of the Oddball Baby Blankets, so I pulled out the Creative Knitting magazine, May 2008 issue, and knit up the Embossed Daisy Washcloth.
I used Sugar 'n Cream, and the color is Cornflower. I didn’t notice the name of the color before. That used to be my favorite color in the crayon box! :teehee:
Nice washcloth and that is a nice color. I remember that one in the crayon box as well. It’s funny how we remember things like “my favorite crayon” color. Mine was “Midnight Blue”.
Very pretty! And that is a great color. Just an observation: my experience has been that when I’ve knit embossed designs I’ve been disappointed because I couldn’t really see the design very well, UNTIL I wash the cloth and then it seems like the design just pops out.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve also read that when you go down in needle size, the stitches get tighter and the design pops out more. I might try making it again with a smaller needle. Either way, it’s probably one of my best cloths. And the color is my favorite!
