So I finally finished this the other day! Overall, it was a good first fair isle experience. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out … I wish I had made it a little bit longer, but it’s not too bad. The pictures aren’t very good … my head looks a little pointier than it should! LOL

I like it! I have not tried fair isle yet as I do not have that much time to concentrate on the pattern right now. But, that looks good!

It looks like there is more pattern on the back of the hat. How many motifs did it take to go all the way around? Nice work.
The chart pattern for the “deathflake” is available for free here on Ravelry.
I repeated the chart pattern three times around the hat … the number of stitches in the chart pattern didn’t go evenly with the number of stitches in the hat pattern, so I did three of the chart repeats with a few solid black stitches in between each repeat.
Looks really good, my son would love one. Therefore I wont let him near my pc in case he sees it!! LOL I’ve got enough ufo’s at the moment.
