I ordered some patterns from Crafty Alien’s Etsy site. She makes the most awesome stuff. My daughter wanted me to make the clam so I did. I’m not 100% happy with it. For one thing, I don’t think I felted it long enough. Also, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t make a french knot for the eyes (which were a total PITA anyway). But I think he’s still pretty cute and my daughter loves him, which is the important thing.

OK, I need to make one of these for my dad. In RI, where I grew up, we call clams “quahogs.” Every summer, my dad participates in The Quahog Festival, which raises $50,000 or so through the Rotary. He’s in charge of all the food for the 2 day event, which is HUGE.
He needs one of these. So, where do I get a pattern or kit?

I know what quahogs are! THey have pretty purple in thier shells that the indians make jewlery out of called wampum. I love stuffed quahogs too. Just as sweet and juicy as a clam. mmm good, Can’t wait to go t the Cape and eat eat eat.
