FO - Chickami and a Question

Here’s the Chickami I recently finished. I used Cascade Fixation in Taupe and Black.

Overall, I think it came out okay, but I have a question. Along the top ribbing when I switched colors the edge where the colors meet looks very uneven. This didn’t happen at the bottom. Can anyone tell me why that happened and if there is a way to prevent the unevenness in the future. Thanks!

It looks great! When you do a color change, it is always comes out uneven. To make it even, next time, knit one round in the new color, and on the 2nd round with the new color, pick up the stitch from the row below (old color) and place on left needle. Knit that old stitch with the stitch in the new color on the second round (K2tog). It is called a jogless join or something like that. Hope this helps!

Awesome! That does help – thank you!!

(and thanks for the compliment on my top too!)

VERY nice, Amber!

Thanks everyone!

Oooh, that’s beautiful! Model it for us!

Thank you! Model it, eh? That’s a great idea except that I am one of the least photogenic people I know and I always hate the way i look in photographs. Maybe if I can get my dh to take a pic of me that isn’t horrid I’ll post it.

That looks great–good job!
